We recently took on the challenge of putting together our fist styled shoot(s). Little did we know how much time and resources would be required for such a shoot; mainly because we opted to shoot a few different 'themes' all in one day.
Needless to say, we managed to get an amazing group of people together, each bringing something unique to the shoot, and each endlessly talented in their own respect.
Our photographer, Matthew Carr, took on a major challenge, shooting so many different settings from the break of dawn, till sundown (and drizzle). Matt and his wife Krystle both did an amazing job capturing our vision.
We stumbled upon our florist, Leticia, rather last minute, and never regretted our decision for one second! What a talented individual. She put together the flowers for all the various setting with precisely and very accurately portraying each different look. She is does such an amazing job because of her sincere passion for what she does and she could not have done a better job on the day!
We could probably say that the seed for this shoot was planted at a tea-and-cake afternoon at Wendy's, where we started chatting about possible collaborations. Wendy has the most amazing collection of antique and rare tea sets, dinners sets and cutlery. The tea even tasted different from her tea cups...and better! Wendy's pieces most definitely added a special touch to our table settings.
Wendy also introduced us to Andries, who is a pure artist when it comes to creating beautifully intricate cakes! With the utmost attention to detail, and artistic touch, his wedding cake and cupcakes completed our look with style.
We also had the opportunity to work the the very talented ladies from Blondies and Brownies; even though their work is not shown in this shoot, they needed a mention none the less! Have a look at our water colour inspired shoot with them here and our cake and treats table shoot here.
Our two (gorgeous) models were incredibly patient, and did an amazing job! They are both beautiful inside and out, and were both very professional. We had such a blast working with both Listelle and Jessica, and would do so again any day!
Part of the credit for how amazing the models looked has to go to the very talented makeup artist, Vanessa. She loves every second of her job, and it most definitely shows in her work. She created every look to our exact brief, and we could not have been happier with the end result!
Our bride was also dressed in the most beautiful fairy tale dress from Ricci Jvr, who does amazing bridal gown work. If our model, who does wedding shoots all the time, singled out this dress as her favourite, you know it's a winner!
Last but not least, we could not have done any of the above without the generosity of the amazing Montpellier Venue in Tulbach. Seriously...if you have not decided on a wedding venue, this is a MUST to have a look at. Complete with accommodation, the venue has some many amazing little areas (including a beautiful little Chapel on the hill) to make for a unforgettable wedding, with stunning backdrops.
We'd like to thank each and every service provider involved in helping us put together the amazing pics below. We hope you enjoy looking through them as much as we did creating them.
Here's one of our settings from the day - Inspired by the classic, elegant bride; crisp white with touches of light pink to just enough of a feminine touch.
