I’d like to think that when little girls dream about growing up they picture themselves as ballerinas, dressed in pink, flowy dresses and twirling gracefully in pure delight. This is certainly the dream that Lida embodied on the day she married Stefano, a vision in tulle and lace.
Lida is South African and Stefano is Italian and they contacted us to help with on-the-day-coordination. The couple had chosen service providers, but we stepped-in in the run up to their wedding day to ensure that they did not have to worry about a single detail from then on out. This left them free to fully enjoy every moment of sharing this day with their family and friends.
The look and feel of the wedding was effortless yet classy and sophisticated. Lida was a very crafty bride, creating special hand-embroidered banners to display the table settings and menu at the reception and adding a personal touch to the wedding decor. Florals included beautiful and abundant hanging installations and table runners in deep, rich tones of red and green offset against the white of the tables and chairs. Table settings were simple and the venue provided a wonderful canvas to create a romantic, dream-like reception, using candles and a curtain of fairy-lights to illuminate this intimate affair...this wedding was less about the frills and all about the celebration of love.
A few special details of the day was the non-traditional cheese cake that the couple chose, a very special father-daughter dance and wedding favours, which were bags of seeds so that guests would go home and “let love grow”.
