What is elopement wedding one might ask? Colloquially speaking, it refers to a marriage conducted in sudden and secretive fashion; usually involving a hurried flight away from one's place of residence together with one’s beloved with the intention of getting married.
At the eastern foot of Table Mountain, the bridal couple Frederika and Jodie from Texas decided to have their wedding at the very famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. The chosen venue is known for their beauty and diversity of the Cape flora that displays the magnificent setting of Cape Town.
Frederika and her bridesmaids complemented each other very well with the colour of turquoise and white, with all the greenery surrounding them. Her wedding gown was so breathtaking and with a touch of her diamonds, she was ready to be in the spotlight.
The ceremony was held outdoors where her soon to be husband was standing and waiting in anticipation. On the golden aisle, Frederika and her mother walked to Jodie with smiles of excitement that was too hard to hide.
Chocswirl Bakery incorporated the meaning of an elopement wedding by adding the world map on the bridal cake for a special touch, as the bridal couple is originally from Texas.
The décor was so unique and different. Lush greenery centerpieces was used to follow through the botanical theme. A white delegate tree was place in the center of all the guest tables with a magical touch of fairy lights hanging like the stars in the night.
The family and friends was so cheerful when the bridal couple entered the reception area and made joyful noise as they passed them.
The one special moment for all the Texas guest, was a five course traditional South African meal, that was prepared and explained by the chef, and complimented wine was suggested to go with each dish.
